New Project Win: Seoul University General Hospital (SUGH) – South Korea
June 6th, 2023
Failure or disruption of mission-critical factors will result in a serious impact on operations, or even worse. The healthcare industry knows the meaning of this phrase all too well as the consequences of power failures may lead to risking patient safety. That is why in 2003, Seoul University General Hospital (SUGH), opted for HITEC’s 3 x 500 kVA Dynamic UPS units ensuring uninterrupted operation of its critical and essential services. Over the years, HITEC in collaboration with our dedicated local partner HPS in South Korea, has wholeheartedly supported SUGH ensuring the continuous operation and full life cycle of the DRUPS.
With the advancement of technology, HITEC approached SUGH in 2021 to explore the possibility of upgrading their DRUPS to the modern PowerPRO1000 series. The upgrade plan was divided into three phases, with Phase 0 involving detailed engineering works and Phase 1 entailing the replacement of all control panels. Both Phase 0 and Phase 1 have been successfully completed. For the final phase (Phase 2) of this upgrade project, we will deliver 3 PowerPRO1000, 1000 kVA units, replacing the existing 3 x 500 kVA units on-site.
It is very gratifying to know that once again HITEC equipment has been chosen to support processes that provide health and wellbeing for the people of Seoul.
